Product overview
The HP-200-C is the heating-only model of the Stuart Undergrad series. Its 15 x 15 cm ceramic plate heats up to 450 °C and can hold up to four 250 mL beakers at once, which suits teaching labs and general sample preparation.
A microprocessor with dual thermocouples controls the temperature and protects against overheating, while a coloured LED ring around the control knob indicates the actual surface temperature. A hot warning light flashes above 50 °C and continues to do so after the unit is unplugged until the plate has cooled.
The stackable aluminium housing keeps spills away from the control panel and has BioCote antimicrobial protection. A retort rod fitting is built in, and an optional temperature controller can be connected for sample temperature control up to 200 °C. It replaces the Stuart UC150.
