Mini Automated Tissue Processor TSP-1

The TSP-1 is a compact automated tissue processor for dehydration, clearing and paraffin infiltration of histology samples. It has 12 cups of 750 mL, nine for reagents and three for paraffin, and a basket that holds 40 dehydration cassettes.

The first tank can be timed from 0 to 99 hours 59 minutes and the other tanks up to 23 hours 59 minutes. The wax tanks use internal dry heating from room temperature to 80°C with ±1°C precision. Agitation is adjustable from 0 to 6 times per minute, drainage time from 10 to 60 seconds, and 1 to 7 tissue protection tanks can be set. Twenty programs can be stored.

Single-chip computer control allows manual adjustment at any point, after which the program resumes, and operation continues after short power interruptions. A sealed plexiglass cover with a fume outlet, photoelectric positioning and a corrosion resistant APS-coated housing complete the design in a 795 × 435 mm footprint.
