Product overview
The RFT-A7 Series measures refractive index and Brix of liquids automatically, giving data that correlates with sucrose mass fraction, soft drink solids, honey water content and product purity. The range covers 1.30000 to 1.70000 nD with 0.00001 nD resolution and ±0.0002 nD accuracy, and 0 to 100% Brix with ±0.1% accuracy, at 589 nm.
Three models are offered. The RFT-A756 has a sapphire prism, Peltier control from 5 to 85°C at ±0.02°C, an 8 inch touch screen, four user levels, electronic signature, LIMS connectivity and an optional 21 CFR Part 11 audit trail. The RFT-A733 uses a high hardness glass prism with Peltier control from 10 to 60°C, and the RFT-A731 is the entry model, both with 7 inch touch screens.
A high resolution CCD system with temperature compensation gives fast, repeatable results from only 0.5 mL, and samples can be recovered. With no moving parts and a 100,000 hour LED, the instruments suit pharmaceutical, food, flavor, petrochemical, metalworking and fine chemical labs, exporting PDF reports to USB or a printer.
