CC-N50 Digital Colony Counter

The CC-N50 is a digital colony counter consisting of a counter, probe and counting chamber. CMOS integrated circuitry drives a bright LED display with 13 mm characters, and the dedicated probe registers each colony touched on the dish for sensitive, accurate counting from 0 to 999.

The counting chamber has a black background under fluorescent illumination, so colonies stand out clearly. A double counting method, recording the first total and recounting after reset, helps confirm the result. The three-digit capacity follows counting practice in which dishes with more than 300 colonies should be diluted and repeated.

The unit draws less than 20 W, runs on 220 V and weighs 1.7 kg. It is used for bacterial counts in food, beverages, medicines, biological products, cosmetics, sanitary products, drinking water, sewage, industrial wastewater and clinical samples, in inspection institutes, hospitals, factories and university laboratories.
