Product overview
The CC-J2S is a colony counter designed for comfortable, accurate counting of culture dishes and filters used in microbiology. Counts are registered by a pressure sensor with an audible beep, and the touch sensitivity can be adjusted to suit different culture vessels and user habits. A 3-digit LED display shows totals from 0 to 999, with plus and minus buttons to correct missed or repeated counts and a reset button to start again.
A glare-free white LED array lights the dish from below with adjustable brightness, producing sharp contrast for microorganisms that are hard to see. Unique upper light source compensation and a large frameless magnifier giving 3× or 9× magnification make colonies fully visible, and a moderate grid supports counting by sections.
The counter accepts Petri dishes of 50, 55, 60, 70 and 90 mm, runs on 100 to 240 V at 20 W, has IP21 protection and weighs 2.8 kg. The LED lamps produce little heat and have no wearing parts.
