Product overview
The CC-J3 and CC-J3A are digital colony counters built on CMOS integrated circuits for counting bacterial colonies on Petri dishes from 50 to 150 mm in diameter. The CC-J3 has a 3-digit LED display counting from 0 to 999, while the CC-J3A has a 4-digit display counting from 0 to 9999.
Colonies are marked with a special counting pen, and a sensor with a sound indicator confirms each count. If a count is missed or repeated, the plus and minus buttons correct the total, and a button returns the display to zero. A magnifier on a flexible arm can be set to the ideal position and gives 3× magnification, with 9× also available, for easier comparison of colonies on the 155 mm counting plate.
The counters run on 100 to 240 V with a 50 W lamp, measure 360 × 300 × 180 mm and suit routine colony counting in microbiology laboratories.
