VSC-H Series High Temperature Digital Viscometer
Request a quoteOverview
The VSC-H Series measures the viscosity of materials that are solid at room temperature and become liquid when heated, such as asphalt, hot melt adhesives and polyethylene wax. An embedded integral heating furnace gives uniform heating with low thermal inertia across a range from 10°C above ambient to 300°C, using a sample of 10 to 20 mL.
Across the VSC-H1 and VSC-H2 models, measuring ranges extend from 5 to 80,000,000 mPa·s, with stepless speeds from 0.1 rpm and spindles 21, 27, 28 and 29 supplied. A high subdivision stepper motor keeps the speed accurate and stable, and accuracy is ±1% of full scale with ±0.5% repeatability.
The blue backlit LCD shows viscosity, speed, percentage torque, spindle number, temperature and the maximum measurable viscosity for the current spindle and speed, with no further calculation needed. An alarm sounds when the reading exceeds the range, and optional data acquisition can build viscosity-temperature curves.
