Product overview
The VSC-KU is a Stormer-type viscometer dedicated to measuring fluid viscosity in Krebs units, typically for paints and coatings. A special spindle rotates at 200 rpm, and the resistance torque measured in the fluid is converted directly to a KU value shown on the blue backlit LCD.
A function key switches the display between Krebs units, grams and centipoise, with conversion according to the ASTM D562 standard. The measuring range is 40 to 141 KU, equivalent to 32 to 1,099 g or 27 to 5,274 cP, with ±1% full scale accuracy and ±0.5% repeatability. The cP value is given for reference only.
A 16-bit microprocessor controls the instrument, which is supplied with a lifting stand, leveling base, special spindle and power adapter for 100 to 240 V. A dedicated printer and an RTD temperature probe covering 0 to 100°C at ±0.1°C are available as options when ordered with the unit.
