DITT-M3 Multifunctional Disintegration Tester

The DITT-M3 tests the disintegration time of tablets, capsules, pills and orally disintegrating preparations according to the 2020 edition of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia. It uses a 2+1 design: two sets of ordinary disintegration baskets plus one special basket set for orally disintegrating tablets, and the three stations can be controlled independently.

The water bath is controlled automatically at 37.0°C by default, adjustable from room temperature to 50°C with ±0.3°C accuracy and 0.1°C resolution. Digital electronic sensors monitor temperature at points in the bath and in the beaker without calibration. Basket lift time defaults to 15 minutes and can be set from 1 to 999 minutes with ±0.5 minute accuracy.

Baskets lift 30 to 32 times per minute, with strokes of 55 mm for ordinary baskets and 10 mm for orally disintegrating baskets. Ordinary baskets use 2 mm screens as standard (0.425 mm and 1 mm optional), and the orally disintegrating basket uses 710 μm. An LCD shows temperature and time, and overheating alarm and automatic protection are included.
