DIST-8P 8-Station Dissolution Tester

The DIST-8P is a dissolution tester for measuring the rate and extent of dissolution of solid dosage forms such as tablets and capsules in specified media. It accepts eight basket or paddle rods and eight 185 mm high dissolution vessels, including shaded vessels, and is supplied with 8 paddles and 8 cups.

The head lifts electrically from the keypad and can then be overturned continuously, which makes changing paddles and baskets easy. Speed is adjustable from 20 to 200 rpm, with paddle wobble of 0.3 mm or less, basket wobble of 0.8 mm or less and shaft to vessel centering within 1 mm. The water bath heats from room temperature to 45°C with ±0.3°C control, 0.1°C resolution and software temperature correction.

Nine sampling periods from 1 to 999 minutes each can be preset with ±0.5 minute timing error, and 300 Chinese Pharmacopoeia test parameters are stored for recall. Settings are saved automatically, and self-check fault alarm and over-temperature protection are built in. Paddles, baskets and shafts are stainless steel.
