TABT-2 Dual-Purpose Tablet Friability and Hardness Tester

The TABT-2 is an intelligent dual-purpose instrument that tests both the friability and the hardness of tablets, in line with the 2020 edition of the Pharmacopoeia.

For friability, two drums with a 286 mm inner diameter and 39 mm depth rotate at 25 ±1 rpm, with a programmable count from 1 to 900 revolutions. Speed and revolution count are controlled automatically with high accuracy, and the instrument provides automatic detection, diagnosis and alarm.

For hardness, a high-precision pressure sensor measures from 2 to 489.9 N with a digital readout. Tablets are loaded manually and the motor applies pressure automatically, with automatic display, latching, reset and cycling. Tablet diameter from 3 to 40 mm is measured at the same time as hardness. Power is 220 V, 50 Hz, 40 W.
