Request a quoteOverview
The GEP-GD100 and GEP-GD1000 are integrated, fully automated gel imaging systems for nucleic acid gels stained with fluorescent dyes such as EB, SYBR Gold, SYBR Green, SYBR Safe, GelRed and GelGreen, and for SDS-PAGE protein gels under white light.
A high-sensitivity CCD camera captures 2592 × 1944 pixels (5.03 MP) at 16-bit depth, with exposure from 1 ms to 3000 ms and quantum efficiency above 69%. An auto-focus lens and a dedicated 590 nm filter for nucleic acid dyes are standard. Illumination includes 302 nm trans-UV over a 21 × 21 cm area, LED epi-white light and a self-luminous white light sample plate, with optional epi-UV and blue light configurations.
A dedicated overlay gel cutting filter protects against UV and blue light, so bands can be cut without a darkroom, even in bright conditions. The GD100 has an all-stainless steel body, while the GD1000 uses ABS engineering plastic. The interface has a capture button and time control, with no manual adjustment needed.
