BGS-300L Glass Bead Sterilizer

The BGS-300L is a glass bead sterilizer for small surgical instruments such as forceps, scissors and needles. When the chamber is filled with the supplied glass beads, temperatures up to 300°C eliminate bacteria, spores and other microorganisms, typically within 10 to 15 seconds.

Temperature is digitally set from 100°C to 300°C with ±5°C accuracy, and the LCD shows the real-time temperature and countdown. Heating from room temperature to 300°C takes about 25 minutes, and the timer runs from 1 minute to 99 h 59 min or continuously. The stainless steel chamber is 40 mm in diameter and 80 mm deep and holds 150 g of beads.

It uses no gases, fumes, flames or harsh liquids, and its small footprint makes it safe to use inside laminar flow hoods. Over-temperature protection is built in, and the unit is supplied with a bag of glass beads and three fuses. Maximum power is 120 W.
