Product overview

The SP-CLR580A and SP-CLR580B are portable colour spectrophotometers using D/8 geometry with a 40 mm integrating sphere and simultaneous SCI and SCE measurement. A single-grating, dual-light-path SCS optical engine and a spectrally balanced CLED light source cover 400 to 700 nm at 10 nm intervals, with a reflectance range of 0 to 200%.

Type A has a 10 mm measuring aperture, while Type B offers 4 mm and 6 mm apertures. A built-in camera shows the measured area for accurate positioning, Every Time Calibration (ETC) checks against an internal white reference, and automatic gloss compensation supports surfaces of different gloss. The instrument offers 28 standard illuminants and 40 colour indices, including whiteness, yellowness, tint, metamerism and colour strength.

Supplied PC colour QC software stores results and generates and prints test reports, making the instrument suitable for colour management across paint, plastics, textile and printing industries.
