Product overview
The HPT-550 is a single-position hot plate with a 184 x 184 mm glass ceramic work plate that offers good chemical resistance and efficient heat transfer. It heats from room temperature to 550 °C in 5 °C increments with a 1000 W heater.
The LED screen shows temperature with ±1 °C display accuracy, and plate control accuracy is ±10 °C. For tighter control of the sample itself, an external PT1000 temperature sensor can be connected, giving ±0.5 °C accuracy.
A separate safety circuit with a fixed limit of 580 °C protects against overheating, and a HOT warning flashes whenever the plate is above 50 °C, even after the unit is switched off. The hot plate runs on 100 to 120 V or 200 to 240 V at 50/60 Hz, with IP21 protection.
