Product overview
The BOD-806A measures biochemical oxygen demand using the differential pressure method, which simulates the natural biodegradation of organic matter. In each sealed culture bottle, oxygen in the air above the sample replaces the dissolved oxygen consumed as organic matter breaks down, while the CO2 produced is removed. The resulting pressure change is monitored to calculate the BOD value.
The analyzer tests up to six water samples at the same time in 580 mL culture bottles, with incubation times of 1 to 30 days at 20±1°C and a measuring range of 0 to 2000 mg/L. Recording intervals range from 24 minutes to 12 hours, and accuracy meets the BOD5 precision test using the glucose-glutamic acid standard.
The current BOD value is shown on screen throughout the test and can be viewed at any time, and 20 groups of BOD5 results are stored automatically. With a rated power of 10 W, it is suited to wastewater, environmental and water treatment laboratories.
