Product overview
The MTP-650 and MTP-630 are automatic melting point apparatus that use image processing and analysis with video recording and playback. Both cover room temperature to 400 °C at linear heating rates of 0.1 to 20 °C/min, with 0.01 °C resolution, accuracy of ±0.3 °C up to 200 °C and ±0.5 °C above, and 0.3 °C repeatability.
The MTP-650 holds five capillaries, 600 pre-stored methods and 300 users, while the MTP-630 holds three capillaries, 400 methods and 200 users. Multi-point calibration is built in, and measurements can run in automatic or visual mode. The system handles samples that turn dark or opaque on melting and samples that decompose during heating.
An Android system with a 10.1-inch touch screen and 128 GB storage runs the instrument, with RS232, three USB ports, RJ-45 and Wi-Fi. Electronic signatures and an optional audit trail support Pharmacopoeia, GMP, GLP and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 requirements.
