MS-Y98 Six-Stage Sieve Impact Microbial Air Sampler
Request a quoteOverview
The MS-Y98 is a six-stage sieve impact air sampler for monitoring airborne microorganisms. It combines six impactors, each acting as a single-stage sampler, so it measures both the number of airborne microorganisms and the size of the particles that carry them. The first stage collects particles larger than 7.0 μm through 1.18 mm apertures.
The sampler draws air at an adjustable 28.3 L/min with a capture rate of ≥98% and precision of ≤5%. Relative humidity increases step by step through the stages, from 39% at the first to 88% at the sixth, and the multi-stage design gives a wider particle size collection range and higher sampling efficiency. It runs on AC or DC power with sound emission of ≤60 dB.
Typical applications include sanitation and epidemic prevention monitoring, biological clean rooms, pharmaceutical and fermentation facilities, and air microbiology research and teaching, providing data to assess airborne microbial contamination and control measures.
