Overview

Product overview

The MDS-100-R8 uses microwave energy to heat acids and samples in closed vessels, decomposing solid or complex organic and inorganic samples into clear solutions under high temperature and pressure. It holds 8 vessels of 100 mL with TFM liners, rated to at least 300°C and 15 MPa.

A mid-infrared non-contact sensor reads through the TFM to monitor the actual temperature of every sample solution in real time, with a measuring range up to 400°C and a control range from room temperature to 250°C. Pressure is controlled from 0 to 5 MPa with full-vessel pressure control, and the magnetron delivers up to 1000 W of continuous, non-pulsed microwave power at 2450 MHz.

The 316L stainless steel cavity is laser welded and coated with multiple PFA layers, the rotor turns 360° continuously and samples can be loaded one by one without removing it. Safety features include an explosion-proof side-opening door with floating buffer, over-temperature and over-current protection, abnormal noise detection and a high-flow exhaust fan. Up to 100 methods with 10 stages each can be stored.

Features

Key features

  • 01

    All-vessel temperature monitoring

Non-contact mid-infrared sensing tracks each sample solution in real time and plots the temperature curve.

  • 02

    Full-vessel pressure control

Sealed vessels hold pressure up to 5 MPa during digestion for difficult samples, with controlled relief for each vessel.

  • 03

    Explosion-proof door

A high-strength side-opening door with floating buffer releases part of the pressure if the cavity pressure rises too high.

  • 04

    Corrosion-resistant cavity

    Laser-welded 316L stainless steel with a multi-layer PFA coating.

  • 05

    Easy sample loading

Vessels are loaded or unloaded one at a time without moving the rotor.

  • 06

    100 stored methods

Up to 100 digestion methods with 10 stages each can be saved.
