Request a quoteOverview
The DBI-PR80-5 is a thermostatic microplate shaker driven by a brushless DC motor, holding six standard microplates or deep well plates. It controls temperature from room temperature +5 °C to 100 °C with ±0.5 °C accuracy and uniformity at 37 °C, and shakes at 200 to 1600 rpm on a 3 mm orbit.
PID control adjusts the heating rate automatically, reaching 60 °C from 25 °C in under 5 minutes. A wrap-around heated lid, set automatically or manually, reduces edge effects. Each of the six plate positions can be timed independently, and programs support up to 5 steps and 99 cycles. Automatic preheating, automatic resume after power loss, an automatic fan, temperature calibration and hardware and software over-temperature protection are included.
Typical uses include enzyme reactions and deactivation, PCR sample preparation, incubation, mixing and short-term storage of enzymes or DNA libraries.
