TOC-M2000 and TOC-M5000 Total Organic Carbon Analyzers

The TOC-M2000 and TOC-M5000 are total organic carbon analyzers that use high temperature combustion with 680°C catalytic oxidation over a platinum catalyst, a method well suited to seawater samples. An NDIR detector gives high sensitivity and stability for TC, TIC, TOC and NPOC.

The measuring range is 0 to 1000 mg/L, extendable to 100,000 mg/L by manual dilution, with detection limits of 50 μg/L for TC and 20 μg/L for IC and repeatability of ≤3%. A TC measurement takes around 4 minutes and IC around 3 minutes. The TOC-M5000 adds automatic sample dilution, acid addition and gas purging. Precise gas flow control, PID temperature control and three-stage dehydration support accurate results.

Both models are operated from PC software with standard curve management and consumables reminders, and their modular design simplifies maintenance. An optional autosampler handles liquid samples, and a solid sample module is available for solids. Typical uses include drinking water, wastewater, pharmaceutical water and environmental monitoring.
