Overview

Product overview

The GEP-UV1 and GEP-UV2 are UV transilluminators for exciting and recovering nucleic acid and protein gels stained with dyes such as EtBr, SYBR Safe, SYBR Gold, SYBR Green I and II, SYPRO Ruby, SYPRO Orange, GelGreen and GelRed.

The GEP-UV1 provides 302 nm UV and the GEP-UV2 provides both 302 and 365 nm, each over a 21 × 21 cm exposure area. Strong UV excitation makes samples clearly visible without a darkroom.

A damped UV protective cover opens flat through 180° and fully shields the user from ultraviolet exposure. A pressure-type waterproof design prevents buffer from leaking into and corroding the unit. The transilluminator runs on 110 to 220 V, measures 355 × 315 × 108 mm and weighs 3.9 kg.
