Request a quoteOverview
The VSC-P80 is a rotational viscometer with programmable temperature and variable shear, designed to test the stirring and gelatinization properties of starch. It is used to assess starch quality in wheat, corn, rice, sorghum, potato, lotus root and other crops, using a sample of only 2 to 3 g.
Copper block heating with overheat protection and program-controlled cooling reach rates of up to 15°C/min over a 0 to 100°C range, while a sensor in the sample bowl measures temperature directly to ±0.3°C. A specially shaped paddle keeps the sample fully mixed with no settling, and speed is computer controlled from 20 to 5000 rpm. Test programs can have up to 128 steps, and results are reported in cP and RVU.
The software automatically reports peak viscosity, breakdown, holding strength, setback, final viscosity and pasting temperature, plus 20 extended results. It is available in Chinese, English, Spanish and French, exports Excel and PDF reports and supports administrator control, locked reports and traceability.
