Overview

Product overview

The LabTech HyperCOOL is a laboratory freeze dryer that removes moisture from pre-frozen samples by applying a deep vacuum, so frozen water passes directly to vapor without a liquid phase. This preserves the structure and quality of the dried sample.

Models operate at ultra-low temperatures of -55 °C (HC3055), -90 °C (HC9090PLUS) or -110 °C (HC3110), which makes them suitable for biological materials, aqueous products and solvents with low freezing points. The top plate and chamber are Teflon coated for resistance to aggressive solvents, the cooling coils are hidden so ice can be removed after a quick de-ice cycle, and the front condenser has a magnetic, detachable cover for maintenance. A Pirani gauge monitors the vacuum level.

Three main configurations are offered: a chamber for solids on trays or liquids in vials, a manifold for up to 16 flasks from 120 to 1,200 mL, and a multi configuration combining both. An optional heated shelf controls temperature from -20 to +40 °C. Applications cover biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, food and plant samples, environmental extracts and archaeological materials.
