Overview

Product overview

The HLTZ hydrogen chiller passes hydrogen through an internal high-pressure heat exchanger and cools it by direct refrigerant phase change instead of an antifreeze loop, which LNEYA says is more energy efficient. A positive-pressure explosion-proof enclosure with a built-in thermostat keeps the system environment at room temperature, and a regenerable dryer prevents condensation.

Models HLTZ4-10WPEX, HLTZ4-40WPEX and HLTZ4-75WPEX deliver 4.5, 16 and 40 kW at -40 °C. Variable-frequency control raises capacity proportionally when run at 70 Hz, and the unit can combine with high-pressure microchannel or shell-and-tube exchangers.
