Snijders Labs Walk-in Climate Rooms
Request a quoteOverview
Snijders walk-in climate rooms are project equipment, not a stock cabinet on a pallet. They are specified with R&D groups in food, pharma, agri, and government for plant-growth and vertical-farming spaces where the climate has to be homogeneous, the controls simple, and every square metre of floor used for cultivation — not lost to a door swing or a plant-room bulkhead.
Rooms take one or more cultivation beds of varying area, for research or production. Lighting, airflow, and climate are set to the plant, the market, and the customer rather than a fixed SKU. Snijders’ line is that the room should be “better than daylight”: reliable, uniform, easy to clean, and serviceable because design and production stay in Tilburg.
Al-Shaker runs the regional specification: footprint, photoperiod, temperature and humidity bands, and service access. We coordinate the walk-in with the rest of the laboratory so the room is commissioned as a working growth space, not an empty shell.

3 parameters
Cultivation beds and layout are drawn so the floor is used for plants, not for unusable corners around the door.
Reliability and homogeneity first — the condition vertical-farming and plant-passport work actually fail on.
Design, production, and testing in Tilburg, sized to the crop and the building rather than a catalogue module.
Al-Shaker specifies the configuration, documents the system, and supports it across Jordan, the GCC, and MENA.
