About Snijders Labs
Through Al-Shaker
Al-Shaker specifies the configuration, documents the system, and supports it across Jordan, the GCC, and MENA.
Snijders Labs manufactures laboratory climate and cold-storage equipment in Tilburg, the Netherlands. Jaap Snijders started the company in a Rotterdam basement in 1963; the factory later moved to Tilburg. Laboratory equipment followed in 1985 from the family’s cabinet-building experience. Since 2008 Pieter and Norman Snijders have run the next generation. In 2013 sales split into Snijders Labs (high-technology storage and breeding for laboratories) and Snijders Care (hospital logistics, a separate business).
Design and production stay under one roof. Cabinets are tested before they leave; older equipment can be serviced to extend its life. The published working envelope is −86 °C to +60 °C. Reference users include Wageningen and Amsterdam universities, the University of Birmingham, John Innes, Max Planck, and industrial names such as Abbott, Merck, Bayer, and Nunhems.
The Labs catalogue that Al-Shaker represents is the in-house range: climate chambers (ECL, ECP, MD, MC), Evosafe Ecologic ULT and LT freezers, Micro Clima cooled incubators, bespoke walk-in plant-growth rooms, and Cryotheque biobanking.
