Product overview
The S 5250 is the smallest of the three autosamplers in the Sykam HPLC range, holding 60 standard (12 x 32 mm) vials or 96 positions with a microtiter plate. Its small footprint and largely maintenance-free mechanics make it suitable for upgrading virtually any HPLC system with an autosampler.
Its dual-needle design has an outer 'air needle' that pierces the vial septum before the sample needle enters the vial. This avoids blocked injection needles and valves and allows any type of vial septum to be used. The injection valve and dosing syringe are accessible without removing covers.
