Request a quoteOverview
The A440 and its extended-height version E528 are stainless steel LN2 freezers for -190 °C vapor-phase storage in laboratories, repositories and clinical facilities, suitable for active, archive or quarantine collections. Azenta states they store 10 to 30% more samples than other leading freezer brands, with low LN2 use per sample.
A touchscreen controller with WiFi and LAN maintains freezer conditions automatically and sends text and email alerts. Data can be pushed to the cloud, emailed or saved to USB, and the freezer connects to an optional cloud portal for remote monitoring and predictive maintenance. Independent temperature and level monitoring can be added for redundancy, and battery backup with gas bypass is included.
For daily use, a cryogenic LED and automatic fog clearing improve visibility, while a hinged lid, folding steps, handle and workspace reduce liftover height. High-capacity racks limit exposure of non-target samples. The 150 L LN2 charge gives a hold time of over 15 days.
