Request a quoteOverview
BioArc Duo combines two storage temperatures in a single automated system. The -80 °C bank is used for biological samples, live-virus vaccines, viral vectors, long-term DNA, RNA and protein, biopharmaceuticals and bacterial cultures, while the -20 °C bank suits enzymes, antibodies, plasmids, small molecules and short-term nucleic acid storage.
Keeping both zones in one enclosure saves floor space and budget compared with running separate stores, and simplifies managing collections with mixed storage requirements. Shelf pitch is optimized to labware height for maximum density, and the system is configured with input/output, imaging and picking modules to suit the workflow.
Access is controlled per user, temperatures are held constant for sample integrity, and the ARCON Store Controller software handles inventory, chain of custody, audit trails and LIMS integration. Typical users are biobanks, research centers, clinical trial and diagnostics labs, and drug discovery programs.
