Product overview
SampleArc Flex is a modular automated storage system for sample inventories kept between room temperature and -20 °C. Azenta designs each installation around the customer's workflow, collection growth and throughput needs, with capacities ranging from about 105,000 to over 22 million tubes depending on labware.
The store handles one of the widest ranges of labware in a single system: SBS-format plates, tubes, acoustic tubes, cryovials, cryoboxes and syringes. Multi-pitch shelving and an imaging module that reads barcodes, labware type and height place each item in an optimal location, and reformatting into high-density racks can more than double capacity versus SBS-format storage.
Standard input/output, imaging and picking modules can be chosen at order or upgraded later, and dual-shuttle automation supports more than 100,000 tube picks per day. An automation interface links the store to external robotics, and ARCON software manages inventory, access rights, audit trails and LIMS integration.
