Product overview
CryoArc Tera is an automated cryogenic store for research and clinical facilities with large cell and biological sample collections. It pairs a high-efficiency stainless steel LN2 freezer with an insulated robotic transport tower and CryoArc software, and stores up to 630 cryoboxes, 3,360 25 ml cassettes or 1,680 50 ml cassettes in any mix.
The vapor phase keeps samples at a consistent -190 °C from top to bottom. If power or LN2 supply is interrupted, the system holds temperature for up to 21 days, and an onboard UPS keeps storage and data safe. Target and non-target samples are kept below the glass transition temperature during storage and retrieval, and every exposure is logged.
Users load and retrieve boxes from 1 to 7 inches tall through a vending-machine style interface with a touchscreen, avoiding the strain of leaning over an open tank. Inventory is tracked to tube, cassette and plate level, user permissions control access, and an optional WebAPI connects to the facility LIMS. Optional CryoPod Carriers attach to the rim to keep retrieved samples below -150 °C.
