CryoPod Carrier
Request a quoteOverview
The CryoPod Carrier is a hand-carried cryogenic container for moving or working with frozen biological material around a lab, hospital or campus. Using LN2 vapor with no direct sample contact, it keeps contents at or below -150 °C for more than 3 hours, extending the cold chain from freezer or dry shipper to the bench and back.
The carrier displays temperature, date and time, stores events in memory for download to a PC, and gives audible and visual alarms at two settings. It weighs about 5 to 6 kg empty, has a built-in handle and finger grips, and a magnetized foam lid. One 2-inch cryobox, two SBS racks or up to five 50 ml cassettes fit inside, and a cassette version is available.
An optional LN2 Filling Station recharges the carrier hands-free in under 15 minutes. The CryoPod also attaches to CryoArc automated stores to hold retrieved samples. Azenta offers IQ/OQ/PQ validation services for regulated environments.
