Product overview
The Handheld 2 is a portable reader for 2D DataMatrix coded tubes that is held and operated in one hand, leaving the other free for handling tubes. It needs no external computer or tablet; the software is preloaded and starts immediately.
Four modes cover common tasks: reading a code to view it on screen, working through a picklist to confirm the right tubes are taken from the freezer, viewing stored details for a scanned sample, and entering new data against a code. A companion client application defines the data fields and transfers data to and from the device, so it can be used in freezer rooms or remote sites with no network.
The reader weighs 150 g, stores typically up to 60,000 sample records and runs about 8 hours between charges.
