Product overview
The IntelliXcap S1 is a small benchtop instrument that removes and replaces screw caps on individual tubes. It is aimed at larger master sample tubes, including centrifuge, cell culture and glass tubes, and handles cap diameters from 11 to 40 mm with both internal and external threads.
The same gripper covers cryotubes, microcentrifuge tubes and 15 ml and 50 ml centrifuge tubes, so there is no tooling change between tube sizes. Each cap is tightened with consistent torque in line with manufacturer specifications, which supports good seal quality and repeatable results.
One-handed, ergonomic operation reduces the risk of repetitive strain injury from manual capping. At 3.8 kg and a footprint of 240 x 170 mm it fits on crowded benches and inside biosafety cabinets.
