Mirage Connect Rack Reader
Request a quoteOverview
Mirage Connect is a low-profile rack reader that images the base of a whole rack and decodes the 2D DataMatrix code on every tube in one pass. A 16-megapixel autofocus camera handles 24, 48, 96, 138 HD, 240 and 384-position racks plus acoustic racks as standard, and Azenta can add templates for other commercial SBS racks.
It is described as the first fully networked camera reader: an RJ45 connection lets several users reach the DP5 software through a server address, including from a tablet or phone, and multiple readers can run on the same network. DP5 distinguishes clear reads, damaged codes and empty positions, uses AI-assisted no-tube detection, and exports to CSV, Excel, XML, JSON and other formats.
For cold samples, a passive Cryoprotection coating prevents condensation when racks come straight from cryogenic storage, without heaters or blown air that could warm samples. The small footprint also suits integration on liquid handling decks, and DP5 software upgrades are free for life.
