Product overview
Acetamide Broth is used for the confirmation of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and the source lists ISO 16266 in its standards field. It is a defined-salts medium: acetamide at 2.0 g/L is provided alongside potassium dihydrogen phosphate, sodium chloride, magnesium sulfate and trace levels of sodium molybdate and ferrous sulfate.
Only 3.4 g is needed per litre of purified water. Boil with frequent agitation until dissolved, then distribute and autoclave at 121 °C for 15 minutes. The final pH is 7.0 ± 0.5.
Sealed shelf life is 5 years, stored in a dark, dry place at 2-25 °C with the bottle cap tightened after use. The product is not for clinical use.
