Product overview
These bottled agar media are designed for fast plate preparation. Each plastic bottle holds 200 mL of sterile medium that is stable at room temperature, so no autoclaving is needed: loosen the cap, melt the agar in a microwave for about 3 minutes (or in a boiling water bath for 20-30 minutes), cool to about 50 °C and pour into sterile Petri dishes.
The range covers LB Agar, Nutrient Agar, 2×YT Agar, YPD Agar and YPDA Agar, each supplied 10 bottles per carton with a 12-month shelf life. The medium is single use: pour all of it at once and do not re-melt.
