Product overview
Alkaline Peptone Water is a simple two-component enrichment broth, made from peptone and sodium chloride, listed for the enrichment of Vibrio cholerae. Its final pH of 8.5±0.2 makes it alkaline. Biocomma offers a dehydrated powder (GF1188F) and a granulated version (KL1188F).
Both forms are suspended at 20.0 g per litre of purified water, boiled to dissolve and autoclaved at 121 °C for 15 minutes. Sealed product has a 3-year shelf life when stored dark and dry at 2-25 °C.
