Overview

Product overview

Solid phase synthesis relies on reactions between active functional groups on a solid support, such as a resin, and reagents dissolved in organic solvents. In solid phase peptide synthesis, the chain is built up on an insoluble polystyrene resin, adding protected amino acids one at a time in the order of the primary structure.

Compared with liquid-phase methods, the solid-phase approach is simpler, faster and can be automated. Biocomma's solid phase synthesis frits are made from UHMW-PE and offer a wide range of solvent compatibility. No size table is published; please contact Biocomma for ordering information.
