Request a quoteOverview
Biocomma SPE/Flash cartridge frits are produced with a dedicated process that covers careful raw-material selection, mold optimization, flow-rate testing and ERP-based traceability. Biocomma has also developed frits with different pore sizes to serve small-particle sorbents under gravity flow.
The UHMW-PE raw material has a water absorption below 0.01%, a more even particle diameter and is strictly tested for solvent compatibility. Precision molding keeps the frit diameter accurate and a close match to the inner diameter of the cartridge tube; each batch is tested so that flow rate is stable from batch to batch. Biocomma notes that frit diameter relative to the empty tube strongly affects flow, using a 9.0 mm, 40%-porosity frit as an example whose pore is reduced by 37.24% if its diameter is compressed by 0.2 mm.
Frits with 80-100 µm pores suit gravity flow, while pores below 20 µm suit sorbents with small particles. The catalog lists sizes from 5.8 mm to 49.5 mm in diameter, plus custom sizes.

UHMW-PE raw material with water absorption below 0.01% and strict solvent-compatibility testing.
Precision molding matches the frit to the cartridge tube inner diameter, which is important for stable flow.
Every batch is tested to keep flow rate stable between batches.
80-100 µm pores suit gravity flow; pores below 20 µm suit small-particle sorbents.
Catalog diameters from 5.8 to 49.5 mm, including 96-well plate sizes, plus custom sizes.
Each production step is recorded in an ERP management system.
Al-Shaker specifies the configuration, documents the system, and supports it across Jordan, the GCC, and MENA.
