Product overview
Copure® C18A uses octadecyl silica gel as filler and extracts non-polar compounds from aqueous solutions through hydrophobic interactions. Its fully hydrophilic surface modification lets the stationary phase wet easily in water, keeps the carbon chains upright in aqueous mobile phases and improves the water resistance of the silica matrix.
Because it remains stable in pure water, it also gives additional retention for polar compounds. Applications include desalting of biomolecules such as nucleic acids, proteins and peptides, and detection of drugs, pesticides and organic pollutants such as PAHs in water.
