Overview

Product overview

Plasticizers are used in plastics and food contact packaging, and most are phthalate esters (PAEs), some of which are carcinogenic and toxic to reproduction. Leaching of PAEs into food poses health risks, so their use is strictly limited in the EU, the U.S., China, Japan and elsewhere.

Biocomma cartridges for plasticizer testing are made with glass tubes and PTFE frits so that impurities are not introduced into the sample. A dedicated, optimized PSA sorbent enables thorough cleanup and satisfactory recoveries for official methods. The related method listed is SN/T 3147-2012 for phthalate esters in foods for export.
