Overview

Product overview

Copure® Diol carries dihydroxy groups whose retention behaves like silica gel but with weaker acidity. The carbon chain adds hydrophobic interaction, so the sorbent can be used in normal-phase or reversed-phase mode depending on the solvent ratio.

With silica columns, the acidity of the silica can retain basic impurities; Diol columns avoid this. Typical applications include pigments, phenols and phospholipid composition in vegetable oils, drugs and metabolites in biological matrices such as urine, and separation and purification of glycoconjugate mixtures.
