Overview

Product overview

Copure® MS Series 96-well SPE plates are built for high-throughput clinical mass spectrometry, using Biocomma's own sorbents and core accessories. The sorbents are described as having more uniform particle size, larger specific surface area, higher loading capacity, higher purity and no background impurities, helping to cope with complex biological matrices and very low analyte levels.

Five sorbent chemistries are offered: HLB (balanced reversed-phase for acidic, basic and neutral compounds), MCX and MAX (strong cation / anion exchange) and WCX and WAX (weak cation / anion exchange). Recovery data are published for steroid hormones, catecholamines and vitamins.

Two plate designs are available. DVfree plates have a no-dead-volume structure and 3-5 mg of sorbent per well, with elution volumes as low as 25 µL so that evaporation and reconstitution can be skipped. Regular plates offer 10 mg, 30 mg and other loadings. Both work with Biocomma positive pressure devices and most liquid-handling robots.

Features

Key features

  • 01

    HLB sorbent

Versatile hydrophilic-lipophilic-balanced reversed-phase sorbent for acidic, basic and neutral compounds.

  • 02

    MCX and MAX sorbents

Strong cation exchange (MCX, selective for weakly basic compounds) and strong anion exchange (MAX, selective for weakly acidic compounds) reversed-phase sorbents.

  • 03

    WCX and WAX sorbents

Weak cation exchange (WCX, strongly basic compounds) and weak anion exchange (WAX, strongly acidic compounds) reversed-phase sorbents.

  • 04

    DVfree plate design

No dead volume and no solvent residue reduce analyte loss; 3-5 mg of evenly packed sorbent per well suits trace-level extraction.

  • 05

    Low elution volume

Elution volumes as low as 25 µL remove the need for evaporation and reconstitution.

  • 06

    Regular 96-well format

Classic plate design in 10 mg, 30 mg and other loadings for high sample capacity.

  • 07

    Automation ready

Compatible with Biocomma positive pressure devices and most liquid-handling robotic systems.
