Product overview
Copure® PRS is a strong cation exchange extraction column filled with propylsulfonic acid-bonded silica. It retains weakly basic compounds very well. Unlike SCX phases, PRS has no non-polar secondary interactions, which gives it a distinct selectivity, and it can be used when non-polar components in the sample matrix interfere with SCX.
The single separation mechanism gives high recovery of pyridine substances. Applications include pyridine drugs and their metabolites in biological matrices, and basic pollutants such as malachite green, crystal violet, tetrodotoxin and methylene blue.
