Request a quoteOverview
Like NH2, Copure® PSA (primary-secondary amine) has weak anion exchange and normal-phase retention. Its two amine groups, with pKa values of 10.1 and 10.9, give a greater ion exchange capacity and let it extract polar compounds through amine bonds. PSA also forms complexes with metal ions, so it can retain certain metal cations.
The sorbent effectively removes many interfering components from food. Applications include removing fatty acids (oleic, palmitic and linoleic acids), organic acids, certain pigments, metal ions and sugar interferences from food matrices, and detection of sedative drugs in bodily fluids.
