Product overview
Copure® QuEChERS Extraction Kits combine foil pouches of anhydrous extraction salts with 50 mL centrifuge tubes, and ceramic homogenizers can be added. In the salt mix, MgSO4 removes water from the sample while the other components maintain a suitable pH so that alkaline-sensitive pesticides are recovered.
Adding water-rich samples directly to tubes already containing salts can cause local overheating and lower recoveries. To avoid this, the salts are supplied in separate pouches that the operator adds after the organic solvent. The pouches are sealed in aluminum foil, carry their composition printed on the bag, tear open easily, and are filled on an automated powder-dispensing line for accuracy and repeatability.
