Copure® SLE Cartridges for Azo Dye Testing

Most dyes and pigments used in the textile and leather industries are azo compounds. Under reductive conditions they break down into amines, and some of these aromatic amines are believed to be carcinogenic or potentially carcinogenic and are banned in the EU, the U.S. and China.

Biocomma supplies SLE cartridges optimized for determining banned azo dyes in textile products. They are packed with optimized diatomaceous earth and use frits with flow-rate control. Published typical recoveries are above 20% for 2,4-diaminoanisole, above 50% for o-toluidine and 2,4-diaminotoluene, and above 70% for other aromatic amines.
