Dasang® Mufflers

Dasang® mufflers reduce the dynamic noise produced by pneumatic components and exhaust pipes, giving a balance between noise reduction and acceptable back pressure. They mount directly on the exhaust ports of components or devices and have a compact design for easy installation.

The mufflers are porous plastic, which Biocomma notes has advantages over metal: far lower weight, much better corrosion resistance, higher ability to filter particles, greater durability, quicker installation and lower cost. They use the technology from Biocomma's medical filters, with high porosity and air permeability and precise control of air flow rate, and are stated to be made from medical-grade materials compliant with FDA requirements.

Two series, DSP and DSR, are offered in six thread sizes from G1/8 to G1, with noise levels of 70 to 79 dB. They suit noise-sensitive devices such as solenoid valves and vacuum generators. Avoid collisions, forced tightening and organic solvents, and do not dismantle a muffler merely because air flow seems slow.
